Dr. Merced obtained a Bachelor Degree in Human Biology at the University of Puerto Rico. She acquired her degree of Doctor of Chiropractor from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Merced is licensed by the Virginia Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is a member of ICPA, an organization dedicated to educating pregnant women and children on the benefits of chiropractic care. Dr. Merced’s passion is to serve and educate the community about the importance of proper skeletal alignment and how it affects the health of the patient.
Dr. Merced has a additional certification in Pediatric Chiropractic and believes that chiropractic care should begin with infancy. Chiropractic adjustments for children are very gentle, safe and effective. Some of the benefits in chiropractic care for children include: improvement in colic, reflux, bed wetting, asthma, ADHA, ear ache, constipation and other common ailments.
Dr. Merced practices Webster’s Tehcnique for pregnant women. This techniques is safe and gentle and focuses on analyzing and correcting sacral subluxation for the purpose of restoring pelvic balance and nerve system function. This allows the mother’s body to perform optimally during the birthing process.
In her free time, she like to spend time with her family, traveling, going to the park and bike riding.
