Dr. Jacqueline Merced is a family chiropractor in Gainesville, Virginia. She cares for children, adults and pregnant women. Her mission is that the families achieve a better quality of life by maximizing the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Dr. Merced obtained her Bachelor Degree in Human Biology of the University of Puerto Rico. In Marietta, Georgia she acquired her degree of Doctor of Chiropractor in Life University. Currently she is licensed by the Virginia Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She has decided to live in Virginia to serve and educate the community about the importance of chiropractic care. Dr. Jacqueline Merced is currently a member of the ICPA; an organization dedicated to educate the benefits of chiropractic care for pregnant women and children.
Dr. Merced has an additional certification in Pediatric Chiropractic and believes that chiropractic care should begin with infancy; the chiropractic adjustments for children are very gentle, safe and effective. Some of the benefits in chiropractic care for children includes improvement in colic, reflux, bed wetting, asthma, ADHD, ear ache, constipation and other common ailments.
Dr. Merced practices a technique known as Webster’s Technique that is utilized for pregnant women. Webster’s Technique is a safe and gentle chiropractic technique that focuses in analyzing and correcting sacral subluxation for the purpose to restore pelvic balance and nerve system function. This may allow the mother’s body to perform optimally during the birth process.
In her free time she likes to spend time with her son and husband: traveling, going to the park and ride bicycle.
